Which dosage form is right
for your next food supplement?
The dosage form is not the last detail to define. It is one of the choices that can determine the feasibility of your food supplement: it affects the amount of active ingredient per unit, the way it is taken and production costs.
Do you know the cost of starting over at the end?
Choosing it when the formula is already finalized can mean going back, revising the project and, in the worst case, starting from scratch, extending development time and costs.
That is why Inalme supports you in choosing the most suitable solution from the earliest stages of the project.
Five dosage forms, a range of packaging options and, above all, a single consulting process.

Tablets
Swallowable, chewable, bilayer, gastro-resistant, modified-release. Bilayer tablets separate two actives that cannot coexist in the same matrix; gastro-resistance delivers intact to the intestine what gastric acidity would degrade; modified release distributes the active throughout the day with a single intake.
Packaging: blisters, jars, pill boxes.

Capsules
Size 0 capsules and softgels: the former for powders and dry extracts, the latter for oils and fat-soluble actives.
Packaging: blisters, jars, pill boxes.

Granules
The format for dosages that would require three or four tablets a day. Sachets and sticks reduce intake to a single step and are instantly recognizable on the shelf.
Packaging: sachets, sticks, jars.

Solutions and syrups
Rapid absorption and adjustable dosing, with the advantage of reaching those who cannot swallow tablets: children and the elderly above all.
Packaging: bottles, drops, sprays, sticks.

DDC® – Dry Delivery Cap®
The patented cap that keeps the powder separate from the liquid until the moment of use. Mixing takes place when the consumer opens the bottle: unstable actives remain protected from moisture and oxidative degradation throughout the shelf life, and two incompatible components can coexist in the same finished product. Originally developed for probiotics, it also applies to vitamins, minerals and medical devices.
